Senior Software Engineer / Application Security / Java

A highly scalable, rapidly growing financial technology company is looking for a Senior Application Security Engineer. This organization is working with some of the world’s largest data sets across multiple countries and are building one of the most robust commodities trading platforms in the area.

In this role you will be working with a talented engineering team and ensuring that all aspects of the application are secure for customers. They are looking for an engineer with 7 or more years of experience in software engineering and recent experience in application security. Java is the language you will be using most along with code scanning systems such as SAST or DAST. This is a hybrid role in Tyson’s Corner, VA and is full-time position.

Skills & Technologies:

• • 7 or more years of experience with Java
  • Application Security experience
  • Professional experience training software engineers on best practices
  • Experience assisting in security-related reviews
  • A strong willingness to seek out new solutions to address security concerns

Desired Skills:

• • Strong and clear communication
  • Cloud Architecture experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field

Day to Day:

• • Explore vulnerabilities within the application
  • Participate in and conduct external security assessments
  • Manage and meet deadlines
  • Support engineering teams on training days
