Azure Cloud Administrator

This company is looking for an Azure Cloud Administrator responsible for ensuring the availability and performance of cloud services. This role involves collaborating closely with developers and engineers to identify and address issues that could affect website or service availability.

This position is a 6 month contract-to-hire and will remain 100% remote.

What You Will Be Doing:

• Apply Azure knowledge and practical experience to carry out projects.
• Utilize the VA Enterprise Cloud Operational Tools (VAECOT), native portals and tools of CSP, and/or other VA TRM-approved tools as required to support VA applications within the VA's enterprise cloud (Refer to VAECOT tools listed below).
• Leverage automation tools like Terraform, Ansible, Cloud Formation, or equivalent.
• Support in upgrading, installing, and configuring monitoring solutions for AWS or Azure on Windows or Linux servers.
• Develop and maintain gold images/scripts.
• Assist in generating reports on the current infrastructure status.
• Document operational processes for each application in a Production Operations Manual (POM).

Required Skills & Experience:

• At least six (6) years of experience in setting up, configuring, and utilizing Azure cloud operational tools to ensure adherence to service level agreements, achievement of performance targets, and ongoing compliance with policies, standards, and guidelines.
• Bachelor's Degree in computer science, engineering, or a related technical field (A further 10 years of work experience may be considered in place of a degree).
• Possession of a current Azure certification or recent passing of an exam (e.g., AWS CCP, AWS CSA associate/professional, AZ-900, AZ-104).
• Proficiency with one or more tools from the VAECOT suite (listed below).
• Ability to pass a background check required for obtaining a Public Trust clearance.
