This leading healthcare company in the U.S., specializes in occupational health services. With hundreds of locations nationwide, the company provides care for work-related injuries, physical therapy, preventive health screenings, and other employer-focused medical services. They serve a wide range of industries and partners with employers to promote workforce health and safety. Recently, the company took steps to expand its presence in the healthcare market, including becoming a publicly traded entity.

They are seeking a skilled C#/PowerBuilder developer to support and enhance enterprise applications. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with PowerBuilder (12.6 or later) and solid proficiency in C#, along with a strong background in application development, system integration, and production support. This role requires analytical problem-solving skills, familiarity with SQL databases, and the ability to contribute to both legacy systems and modern development initiatives. Required Skills & Experience
  • Typically brings 7+ years of experience with PowerBuilder (version 12.6 or later), along with working knowledge of C#.
  • Possesses at least 7 years of experience in software development or production support, including a minimum of 4 years focused on application development.
  • Demonstrates strong proficiency in C#, HTML, JavaScript, SQL (across SYBASE, Oracle, and MS SQL Server), Unix Shell Scripting, integration platforms, and API development.
  • Experienced in business process improvement, problem management, preventive maintenance, and analytical/problem-solving at both conceptual and technical levels.

Daily Responsibilities
  • Support the maintenance, enhancement, and development of clinical and EDI processes.
  • Understand integration requirements and contribute to ESB (Enterprise Service Bus) design.
  • Design and develop PowerBuilder applications based on business needs and specifications.
  • Participate in integration code reviews and performance optimization discussions.
  • Provide testing and deployment support in collaboration with release teams.
  • Implement build and deployment automation using the Bamboo tool.
  • Conduct unit testing and automate regression test scenarios using available tools.
  • Explore new solution patterns and tools, delivering proof-of-concept projects for application architects.
  • Utilize monitoring tools to identify and diagnose system or application issues and outages.
  • Continuously monitor and enhance the performance of IS (Information Systems) operations.
  • Investigate and resolve issues or bugs by analyzing root causes and determining effective solutions.
  • Provide technical support to users via phone, email, and remote access tools as required.
  • Document business processes and rules using Confluence.
  • Work a flexible schedule as needed to meet project and operational demands.
