Data Engineer / Salt Lake City Utah / python and spark

We are seeking a skilled Data Engineer to join our team at a leading security camera system company that partners with retailers to deliver advanced data analytics solutions. In this role, you will be working on our main product, which helps clients understand and utilize data analytics to enhance their operations. The ideal candidate will have experience with Python, Apache Spark, and AWS, as well as a background in supporting machine learning teams. You will design and maintain data pipelines, collaborate with data scientists, and manage our AWS-based infrastructure. This full-time position is based in American Fork, Utah, and requires onsite presence 3 days a week. Required Skills and Experience:

• Proficiency in Python programming.
• Experience with Apache Spark for big data processing.
• Familiarity with AWS cloud services.
• Experience supporting a machine learning team.
• Strong understanding of database concepts and SQL.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.

What You Will be Doing:

• Designing, developing, and maintaining data pipelines to support machine learning initiatives.
• Writing and optimizing Python and Spark code for data processing and analysis.
• Collaborating with data scientists and machine learning engineers to ensure data availability and quality.
• Implementing and managing AWS-based data infrastructure.
• Troubleshooting and resolving data-related issues to maintain seamless data flow.
• Documenting data workflows, processes, and technical specifications.
