Senior Application Developer

A major transit agency is looking to bring on a Senior Application Developer on a 12-month contract. While they are based in DC and this is 100% remote, candidates must be local to the DC metro area and able to come in for occasional meetings. 

The Senior Application Developer were will supporting the design, development and maintenance for the full lifecycle of an in-house web-based Absence Reporting and Case Management System. You'll be working on the full SDLC including application design, programming and testing. You'll also be translating applications requirements into web-based solutions. 

Contract Duration: 12 Months
Required Skills & Experience

• Seven (7) or more years’ experience as a web applications developer, in addition to a Master's degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline
• Five years of hands-on experience designing and developing modern web applications using the following technologies: C+/C++, ASP.NET 4 (and above), ASP.NET MVC 4, ADO.NET, Web Services (WCF), JavaScript, jQuery, AJAX, ADO.Net and HTML
• Project-based experience developing applications using Microsoft SQL Server (2008+) and Oracle (11gR2+)
• Project-based experience that demonstrates ability to write complex queries, stored procedures, and functions using T-SQL (Microsoft SQL Server) and PL/SQL (Oracle)
• Experience developing mobile friendly websites and applications using one or more mobile application frameworks (jQuery Mobile, PhoneGap, Sencha Touch, etc.)
• Knowledge of and execution of design principles/tools Java/Android application development experience
• Excellent communication skills.
• Project-based experience in the development of web applications with complex business rules that support multiple, concurrent business processes.
