Site Reliability Engineer / Startup

This company is an innovative Chicago based Startup that is revolutionizing personal fitness through technology and AI. This tech startup was previously funded by the National Science foundation but is now backed through multiple investors and that have seen an influx of growth within the company. By targeting an often-overlooked market within fitness, this organization is determined to create tailor made fitness plans for people over the age of 50. Professionals on this team combine trained clinicians with groundbreaking AI technology to diagnose, analyze and create exercise programs that will be used to provide targeted physical rehab and prevention. This role takes place in an AWS-heavy environment, and will leverage containerization and CI/CD tooling.

As a Mid-Level Site Reliability Engineer, you will be leveraging your expertise in maintaining and enhancing a robust cloud-based infrastructure. Working within a DevOps team, you will be able to guarantee system reliability and tackle cloud related issues as they present themselves. Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of experience as DevOps/SRE engineer
• Proficiency in Docker, Kubernetes and other containerized applications
• Experience working in a start-up or small scaled environment
• Hands on AWS experience or other cloud providers
• Strong knowledge of CI/CD pipelines

Desired Skills & Experience

• Familiarity with monitoring and security practices
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment

What You Will Be Doing
Tech Breakdown

• 60% AWS Infrastructure (Terraform, Docker, CI/CD)
• 40% Release engineering and monitoring

Daily Responsibilities

• Hands on infrastructure automation and cloud management
• Optimize and maintain CI/CD pipelines
• Enhance reliability and scale
• Collaborate with engineering teams to maintain efficiency
