Splunk Engineer

My client a small cyber consulting firm is seeking a talented Splunk Engineer to play a key role in the design, implementation, and optimization of Splunk solutions for our federal clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT and security, with expertise in deploying and maintaining Splunk infrastructure. The position requires 2 days onsite in Washington per week and you must successfully qualify for a Public Trust Clearance.



Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience working with Splunk in a federal contracting environment.
• Splunk Certified Power User or higher certification preferred.
• Strong scripting skills (e.g., Python, Bash) for automation and custom development.
• In-depth knowledge of log management, data onboarding, and SIEM principles.
• Experience with federal compliance standards and security frameworks (e.g., NIST, FISMA).
