An innovative AI startup is seeking a Vice President of Capture & Contracts with expert knowledge of government software licensing to further calculated initiatives, bolstering the growth of the company in the government space. Launching new products to shape the realm of defense acquisition, the company is a Defense software business based out of Arlington, VA. The current project focuses on developing an AI application that is bolstering the effectiveness and overall speed on federal production capacity which has prompted rapid growth in their foothold regarding the government sphere.

This individual will oversee contracting practices, command contract vehicles, navigate strategies and proposals, and acquiring new business. The ideal candidate will be tasked to further the creation of high-profile contracts, in collaboration with the company’s other teams such as sales, engineering, and executive branches while commanding expert knowledge of government software licensing. The role is 100% onsite in their Rosslyn office.

Required Skills & Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 8-10 years of experience in government contracting
  • Expert understanding of United States Government software licensing and Department of Defense acquisition methods
  • Premier organizational, communication, and collaborative skills
  • Experience and familiarity with all types of contracts.
Nice to Have:
  • Master’s degree
  • Past startup experience
  • Possession or ability to get U.S. security clearance
Daily Responsibilities:
  • Generating and implementing capture strategies for contracts in order to hit growth benchmarks.
  • Generating strategic pricing for all company product and business through government contracts
  • Leading dialogue to procure high-profile contracts
  • Advance team member knowledge of capture management, while extending feedback to ensure development.
  • Communicate with technical department to provide best synopsis of company product to customers.
  • Building strategy and blueprints to successfully capture critical contracts.
