Established client is seeking a skilled IT Solutions and Integration Architect for a hybrid contract role in Atlanta, GA.

Seeking a Solutions & Integration Architect to design and implement innovative enterprise solutions, including Esri ArcGIS Geographic Information System (GIS) solutions, that integrate data and platform technologies to meet the organization's needs. Defines the technical strategy and direction for the IT enterprise. This role involves collaborating with stakeholders, understanding business requirements, and architecting scalable and efficient Integrated solutions. Architect will work independently and on project teams. Architect will engage stakeholders or other subject matter experts as needed. This is a hybrid job with time spent working remotely and on-site. Designs will primarily be provided to Developers and staff for implementation.

Required Skills & Experience
  • Graduation from an accredited four (4) year degree granting college or university with a major in a computer technology or related field.
  • Proven work experience in architecture, design, and implementation of enterprise systems for multiple, large, or cross-functional projects
  • Experience with SQL queries and reporting
  • Familiarity with Oracle and SQL Server databases.
  • Experience integrating enterprise level applications.
  • Proficiency in solutions development using .NET, JavaScript libraries (Dojo, jQuery, Leaflet, etc.),
  • Proficiency in solutions development using JavaScript front-end frameworks like Angular/React/Next.js , HTML5, CSS, Python, ArcPy/Python Arcade.
  • Experience documenting code and performing version control (e.g. GitHub) using industry standard methods and tools (e.g. Azure DevOps).
  • Knowledge and experience with IT security concepts and implementation patterns.
  • Understanding of object-oriented principles (e.g., interfaces, composition, polymorphism, etc.).
  • Experience and understanding of modern API design patterns and principles and able to define API specs
  • Proven Experience as a Technical Architect in developing .Net web applications and client/server applications
  • Proven experience in designing C# Asp .Net/.Net Core Web APIs (Restful Web Services)
  • Hands on experience with .NET, C#.NET, WPF, WCF, MVC or equivalent .NET solution frameworks
  • Proven experience as a GIS Solution Architect or a similar role using Esri suite of products
  • Proven experience with the Esri ArcGIS Maps API/SDK for Javascript versions 3.x and 4.x
  • Knowledge and experience with the following: ArcPro/ArcMap/ArcObjects, Geoevent Processor, Experience Builder, and Field Maps
  • Knowledge and experience with SafeSoftware Feature Manipulation Engine (FME)
  • Experience with ArcGIS Enterprise Server and ArcGIS Online/Hub/Community as an Administrator
  • Experience in designing/developing geocoders and geoprocessor
  • Knowledge of Esri ArcSDE and multi-user versioning with state trees/branch versioning
  • Knowledge of linear referencing systems/methods or Esri Roads and Highways or Oracle Locator/Spatial
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical skills and ability to work independently
  • Effective communication (English language), collaboration, teamwork, and interpersonal skills
Desired Skills & Experience
  • Experience in Cloud Services (Azure & AWS)
  • Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools, including CI/CD pipelines.
  • Understanding of SDLC development methodologies such as SCRUM and Agile
  • Experience in SOLID Principles, Design Patterns, Microservices and other Architecture Frameworks
  • In-depth knowledge of geospatial technologies, geospatial data analysis, and geospatial data standards (e.g., FCDC/ISO/OGC standards).
  • Experience with Esri Workflow Manager, System Monitor, and Image Server
  • Knowledge of Esri Site Scan, Engine, Urban, or Scene for 3-D data model representations
  • URISA (GISP), ASPRS, or Esri Certification

What You Will Be Doing
Daily Responsibilities
  • Implement innovative solutions that integrate data and platform technologies to meet the organization's needs.
  • Design and architect application solutions that integrate data/geodatabases, platforms, and technologies to meet business objectives, improve technical solutions, simplify technical complexity, and reduce needs for IT maintenance/support (e.g. Technical Debt)
  • Create proof-of-concepts to validate design concepts/solutions as needed.
  • Participates in Joint Application Development (JAD) Sessions as needed.
  • Work with external contractors/consultants to migrate their solutions into client operating environments.
  • Integrates applications solutions with existing enterprise systems, databases/data warehouse, system jobs, and applications.
  • Ensure interoperability between platforms and other IT systems within the organization.
  • Provide work estimates/validation of estimates to implement development tasks.
  • Create and maintain detailed technical documentation for Integrated solutions, including architecture diagrams, data models, and system interfaces.
  • Partner with business and technology subject-matter experts to understand the various levels of requirements, the domain, the viable technologies, and anticipated development required to fulfill any particular solution.
  • Builds the long-term strategic roadmap for enterprise application systems’ architecture. Designs and manages the system architecture and application activities; related to environments, modules, APIs/SDK’s, interfaces, workflows, enhancements, support, application security, and reporting.
  • Develops and maintains standards, and guidelines to ensure that a consistent framework is applied across the enterprise. Conducts source code reviews. Ensures compliance with existing IT guidelines/standards for operating environments.
  • Develops and implements plans for systems solution migration through multiple environments. Ensures that system solutions are developed tested, documented and implemented based on best practices and industry standards.
  • Stays abreast of new technological opportunities to better help provide the best value-added solutions to the enterprise.
  • Architect and design scalable secure and high performing enterprise level .Net based application that meets business requirement.
  • Mentor and provide design guidance to team lead, senior, and junior developers
  • Ability to layout a technology roadmap
  • Should be able to analyze and recommend performance and security best practices, database designs, and general development conventions and standards

Design and architect solutions involving Esri ArcGIS Geographic Information System (GIS) products within desktop, web, cloud, and mobile environments. Including system jobs, geocoders, and geodatabase/data processing workflows
