Senior Network Firewall Engineer/ Palo Alto

We are hiring a Senior Firewall Engineer to take a leading role in safeguarding the network perimeter of a multi-billion-dollar financial institution.

The objective is to initiatives from racking and provisioning to long-term architectural design and optimization—supporting multiple data centers and critical office infrastructure.

As part of the infrastructure team (with a road to leadership and technical direction built into the role), they will lead advanced deployments of GlobalProtect, site-to-site VPNs, and IPsec tunnels, ensuring seamless connectivity across critical environments. They will also oversee rule base hygiene, drive policy optimization, and serve as the escalation point for complex firewall-related incidents and performance tuning.

This role is perfect for someone who enjoys seeing projects through from start to finish, collaborating across disciplines, and improving the efficiency and security of core systems. You'll own Palo Alto firewall lifecycle management and serve as a key stakeholder on major infrastructure initiatives.

Required Skills & Experience

• Extensive PaloAlto Firewall background (5+ years, hands-on leadership experience with PA Firewall models)

• Documentation experience with MS Visio

• Experience with Security Architecture/ technologies like Palo Alto, NSX-T, Proofpoint, CyberArk, and MoveIT
  

Desired Skills & Experience

• Ability to bridge strategic planning with technical implementation

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field

• Previous leadership in Financial Services/banking organization
