Java Team Lead / SpringBoot / Consulting

The consulting firm we are partnered with is seeking an experienced Java Developer to assume a leadership role, overseeing a dynamic team of six developers. The ideal candidate will possess a strong blend of technical expertise in Java development and proven leadership experience. This position offers an exciting opportunity to lead the development of greenfield applications while collaborating closely with key stakeholders to ensure alignment with business objectives.

This is a full-time position based in Midtown. Given the nature of the role, a local candidate is preferred, as the position requires onsite presence three days per week. Required Skills and Experience 

• A bachelor's IT, computer science, or equal experience.
• 5-10 years or more of experience in application development.
• Knowledge of multiple languages including but not limited to Java, Node, and Go
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience leading a team of 4 or more.

Desired Skills and Experience

• Experience dealing with key stakeholders
• Understanding of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP).
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
• Previous experience working in the consulting industry.
