A leading robotics company based in Austin, Texas, is seeking a Principal Systems Engineer to lead efforts in product safety and compliance. In this critical role, you will take charge of developing and implementing safety protocols and ensuring compliance with industry standards for advanced robotic systems. As a key leader in the engineering team, you will drive safety initiatives across the product lifecycle, using safety analysis tools like HARA, DFMEA, and JAMA.

Required Skills & Experience
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in systems engineering with a focus on product safety and compliance.
  • Extensive experience with HARA (Hazard Analysis and Risk Assessment), DFMEA (Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis), and FMEA.
  • Proficiency with JAMA for safety tracking and compliance.
  • Strong experience in robotics safety standards and regulations.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams through safety design reviews and compliance processes.
Desired Skills & Experience
  • Hands-on experience leading system-level safety assessments for complex products, especially in robotics.
  • Familiarity with global safety and certification processes.
  • Excellent problem-solving and leadership skills, with the ability to drive safety initiatives across teams.
  • Ability to work across the full product lifecycle to ensure safety and compliance at every stage.
