Remote NetOps Engineer/Ansible/NAC/REST

Our client is looking for a Network Automation Engineer who will be instrumental in enhancing their network infrastructure through automation. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Ansible, REST APIs, Network Access Control (NAC), Python scripting, and Cisco networking technologies. You will be responsible for developing and implementing automation solutions to optimize network performance and manageability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Automation Development: Design and implement automation workflows using Ansible to streamline network provisioning, configuration, and management tasks.
• API Integration: Utilize REST APIs to integrate network management tools and automate interactions with various network devices and systems.
• Scripting and Programming: Develop and maintain Python scripts to automate network operations, data collection, and system integrations.
• Network Access Control (NAC): Implement and manage NAC solutions to enforce security policies and ensure compliance across the network.
• Cisco Technologies: Configure and troubleshoot Cisco networking equipment, including routers, switches, and firewalls, as part of the automation and management processes.
• Collaboration: Work with network engineers, architects, and other IT professionals to identify automation needs and deliver effective solutions.
• Documentation: Create and maintain detailed documentation for automation processes, network configurations, and standard operating procedures.
• Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve network issues, leveraging automation tools and scripts to enhance troubleshooting efficiency and reduce downtime.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent) are a plus.
• Experience: At least 3-5 years of experience in network engineering or network automation, with a strong focus on Ansible, REST APIs, Python, and Cisco technologies.
• Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in Ansible for network automation.
  • Experience with REST APIs for integrating and automating network functions.
  • Strong Python programming skills for scripting and automation.
  • Hands-on experience with Cisco networking equipment and configurations.
  • Knowledge of Network Access Control (NAC) solutions and best practices.
• Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to address complex network issues effectively.
• Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with technical teams and explain technical concepts clearly.
• Adaptability: Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
