A growing local healthcare company is expanding its Network Security team and seeks a Network Engineer to spearhead upcoming projects. This role requires expertise in core Network Engineering with a strong emphasis on firewall management, particularly Checkpoint Firewalls. As a Lead Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in a significant implementation and upgrade project involving Checkpoint Firewalls.

Responsibilities:

  • Configure routers and switches, set up VLANs, and establish site-to-site VPNs.
  • Lead a large-scale implementation and upgrade project for Checkpoint Firewalls.
  • Collaborate with a team of 15 Network and Security Engineers, fostering cross-functional synergy across projects.
  • Engage in network subnetting and contribute to evolving network security strategies.
  • Utilize your expertise in Cisco Routing and Switching, with additional exposure to Cisco ISE and Zerotrust as advantageous.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience as a Network Engineer.
  • Proven expertise with Checkpoint Firewalls.
  • Strong proficiency in Cisco Routing and Switching.
  • Hands-on experience setting up VLANs and site-to-site VPNs.
  • Knowledge of network subnetting principles.

Desired Skills & Experience:

  • Familiarity with Cisco ISE and Zerotrust concepts.
  • Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, CCIE, or CISSP are a plus.

  • Tech Breakdown: 50% Network Engineering, 50% Network Security.
  • Daily Responsibilities: 60% Project-based work, 40% Day-to-day Engineering.
