As a Fortinet Network Administrator, you will be responsible for the installation, configuration, management, and troubleshooting of Fortinet security appliances and solutions. Your role is crucial in ensuring the security and efficiency of our client's network infrastructure. You will work closely with internal IT teams and external vendors to maintain high availability and performance of network systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Network Security Management: Implement and manage Fortinet firewall solutions, including FortiGate, FortiAnalyzer, and FortiManager, to safeguard the network against security threats.
  • Configuration & Deployment: Configure and deploy Fortinet appliances according to best practices and company policies, ensuring optimal performance and security.
  • Monitoring & Troubleshooting: Continuously monitor network traffic and security events using Fortinet tools, identify and resolve issues promptly to maintain network integrity.
  • Performance Optimization: Analyze network performance metrics and make recommendations for improvements to enhance network reliability and speed.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate documentation of network configurations, changes, and incidents. Ensure documentation is up-to-date and readily available.
  • Collaboration: Work with IT teams to integrate Fortinet solutions with existing network infrastructure. Provide technical support and training to staff as needed.
  • Compliance: Ensure all network operations comply with industry standards and company policies, including data protection regulations and security best practices.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience working with Fortinet products, particularly FortiGate firewalls.
  • Certifications: Fortinet NSE (Network Security Expert) certification(s) preferred. NSE 4 or higher is highly desirable.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Fortinet firewall configuration and management, network protocols, and security principles. Experience with routing, switching, and VPN technologies.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex network issues.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Teamwork: Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, with a proactive and flexible approach to tasks and responsibilities.
