Senior Frontend Engineer
Location: Remote or Birmingham, AL
Salary Range: $135k - $165k
We are seeking a Senior Frontend Engineer with full-stack capabilities to help shape the foundation of a geospatial analytics platform for the out-of-home advertising industry. You will design intuitive, scalable interfaces, contribute to backend services, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to help clients optimize their campaigns.
What Success Looks Like:
- Lead frontend development, creating intuitive interfaces with React.
- Champion best practices for scalable, maintainable code.
- Mentor team members and foster a collaborative engineering culture.
- Contribute to backend APIs and services to support frontend functionality.
- Work on strategic initiatives, integrating data insights and innovative technologies.
Core Responsibilities:
- Architect and implement sophisticated React-based frontend solutions (70%).
- Design and develop backend APIs and services (20%).
- Optimize application performance across the full stack (10%).
- Ensure quality through clean code, thoughtful estimates, and QA.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and drive innovation.
Requirements:
- Expert-level JavaScript/TypeScript skills.
- Strong experience with React and modern frontend tools.
- Proficiency in REST APIs, Node.js, and backend principles.
- Knowledge of cloud services (AWS/Azure/GCP) and CI/CD pipelines.
- Familiarity with responsive design, SCSS/CSS, and SQL.
Nice to Have:
- Experience with data visualization, mapping libraries, or LLM APIs.
- Familiarity with dashboard design, PWAs, and server-side rendering.
- UI/UX design and PDF generation from HTML/CSS.
