Our client is a leading innovator in the automotive robotics space, focused on transforming manufacturing and autonomous vehicle operations through cutting-edge robotic solutions. They specialize in developing advanced robotics systems that optimize efficiency, safety, and precision for automotive applications. As they expand their footprint, they are seeking a dynamic and visionary CTO to lead their technology strategy and drive innovation.

As the CTO, you will spearhead the development and execution of the company’s technical vision and strategy. You will work closely with the executive team to define technological goals, oversee the engineering teams, and ensure their products remain at the forefront of the industry. This role requires a deep understanding of robotics, automotive systems, and emerging technologies such as AI, machine learning, and automation. Key Responsibilities:
  • Technology Leadership: Develop and execute the technical roadmap in alignment with business objectives, particularly in the fields of automotive robotics and automation.
  • Innovation & Strategy: Drive innovation in robotics, autonomous systems, and AI, staying ahead of industry trends and competitors.
  • Team Management: Lead, mentor, and grow the engineering and R&D teams, ensuring a collaborative and high-performing work environment.
  • Product Development: Oversee all stages of the product development lifecycle, from concept to deployment, ensuring high-quality, scalable, and reliable robotic solutions.
  • Partnerships & Collaborations: Build strong relationships with key stakeholders, including automotive manufacturers, suppliers, and research institutions, to foster innovation and accelerate product development.
  • Technical Expertise: Provide hands-on guidance for complex engineering challenges and system designs, particularly in AI, automation, and robotic technologies.
  • Compliance & Safety: Ensure all products meet regulatory requirements, particularly related to automotive safety standards and robotics compliance.
  • Budget & Resource Allocation: Manage the technology budget, allocate resources efficiently, and make key investment decisions to support strategic initiatives.
  • Innovation Pipeline: Oversee research and development efforts, ensuring continuous improvement and incorporation of new technologies into product offerings.
Qualifications:
  • Education: Master’s or PhD in Robotics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience: 10+ years of experience in senior technical leadership roles, with a focus on robotics, automotive systems, or automation technology.
  • Technical Expertise: Extensive knowledge of robotics technologies, AI/ML, autonomous systems, and the automotive industry.
  • Leadership: Proven track record of building and leading high-performing technical teams, with strong organizational and leadership skills.
  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to define and execute complex technical strategies aligned with business goals.
  • Communication: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Problem-Solving: Excellent problem-solving skills with a hands-on approach to overcoming technical challenges.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with autonomous vehicle technologies or advanced manufacturing robotics.
  • Familiarity with automotive industry standards and regulations.
  • Strong network within the automotive and robotics industries.
