Enterprise Software Architect

A company in the greater Boston Area is looking for an experienced Enterprise Software Architect to design and implement scalable, high-performance enterprise solutions on their Scanning Technologies. The ideal candidate brings a diverse skill set to the table with an emphasis on cloud and C++ development. Experience is a plus. This role is a onsite role North of Boston.

The Enterprise Software Architect will be responsible for designing and delivering enterprise-level software architectures that align with business strategies and goals. This role requires a deep understanding of software development, cloud technologies, and enterprise architecture frameworks. You will work closely with product development, engineering, and IT teams to ensure seamless integration and delivery of advanced software systems.

Required Skills & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

• 7+ years of experience in enterprise software architecture, with a proven track record of delivering complex, large-scale systems.

• Strong knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF, Zachman).

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and cloud-native architectures.

• Deep understanding of microservices, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and API management.

• Proficiency in enterprise integration patterns, middleware, and software development tools.

• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work across multiple teams and disciplines.

• Experience with Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and scalability.

Desired Skills & Experience

• Master’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Expertise in modern software development frameworks and tools, including Spring, Angular, React, or similar technologies.
• Knowledge of data architecture, including experience with databases (SQL, NoSQL), data warehousing, and analytics platforms.
• Certifications in enterprise architecture (e.g., TOGAF, AWS Certified Solutions Architect).
• Experience in leading digital transformation initiatives for enterprise clients.
• Strong understanding of security best practices in enterprise software, including authentication, authorization, and data protection.
• Proven experience in project management, driving end-to-end project execution, and delivery.
• Familiarity with emerging technologies, such as AI, machine learning, and blockchain.
