Job Title: Principal Research ML Engineer
About Us: An academic program dedicated to advancing research in machine learning and artificial intelligence is seeking a highly skilled Principal Research ML Engineer to join our dynamic team and lead transformative research initiatives.
Position Overview: As the Principal Research ML Engineer, you will play a critical role in researching and developing software infrastructure and state-of-the-art machine learning models and algorithms. You will work closely with leading researchers and cross-functional teams to drive projects from conception to execution, ensuring high-quality research outputs that contribute to the academic community and industry.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the design and implementation of advanced machine learning models and frameworks.
  • Collaborate with researchers and domain experts to identify key challenges and develop innovative solutions.
  • Conduct experiments, analyze data, and interpret results to inform research directions.
  • Mentor junior engineers and researchers, fostering a collaborative and innovative team environment.
  • Stay abreast of the latest developments in machine learning and AI, incorporating relevant advancements into ongoing projects.
  • Contribute to publications, presentations, and outreach efforts to disseminate research findings.
Qualifications:
  • Ph.D. in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in developing and deploying machine learning models in academic or industry settings.
  • Strong programming skills in Python and proficiency with ML libraries (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn).
  • Excellent understanding of statistical methods and data analysis techniques.
  • Experience with cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud) is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
