Principle Ruby on Rails Engineer

Our client is an innovative startup based in Boston, with groundbreaking technology and creative solutions. As they continue to grow, they're seeking a visionary Principal Ruby on Rails Engineer to join our leadership team and drive the development of our core platform.

As a Principal Ruby on Rails Engineer, you will be a key technical leader, responsible for setting the technical direction. You will work closely with senior leadership to shape the future of our technology stack and ensure that our engineering practices align with the company’s strategic goals. This role requires a deep technical expertise in Ruby on Rails, exceptional problem-solving skills, and a strong ability to mentor and inspire engineering teams.

Required Skills & Experience:

• 8+ years of professional experience in software engineering with a focus on Ruby on Rails.
• Expert level proficiency in Ruby on Rails and experience in front-end frameworks.
• Demonstrated experience in mentoring and leading engineering teams.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Define and implement the architectural vision and technical strategy for our platform.
• Lead the design and development of complex, scalable, and high-performance systems. Establish best practices for code quality, system reliability, and maintainability.
• Mentor and guide senior engineers. Provide technical leadership and support to help teams solve complex challenges.
