We are searching for a Manual Software QA Engineer with approximately 4 years of experience to join our dynamic team in Downtown Boston. In this role, you will be responsible for testing software that runs on hardware, ensuring high-quality releases through manual testing procedures. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving abilities, a keen eye for detail, and a solid understanding of both software and hardware interactions.
Responsibilities:

Test Case Design: Design, write, and maintain clear, comprehensive, and effective test cases based on requirements, user stories, and technical specifications.

Bug Reporting & Tracking: Identify, document, and track software defects, providing detailed information to developers for resolution. Follow up to ensure timely resolution.

Regression Testing: Perform regression tests on software releases, ensuring that new code changes do not negatively impact existing functionality.

Hardware & Software Integration: Test the integration of software with hardware, identifying issues related to communication between the software and the physical devices.

Environment Setup: Help configure and maintain test environments involving both hardware and software components to replicate real-world usage conditions.

Documentation: Maintain and update test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test results.
Qualifications:

Experience: 4+ years of manual software testing experience, including testing applications on hardware platforms.
- Strong understanding of software development processes and lifecycle.
- Experience with hardware-software integration testing is a plus.
- Familiarity with test case management tools (e.g., TestRail, Zephyr, or similar) and bug tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla).
Desirable Skills:
- Knowledge of testing automation tools is a plus (e.g., Selenium, Postman).
- Experience with hardware testing and debugging is a plus.
- Familiarity with Agile or Scrum development methodologies is preferred.
