Senior DevOps Engineer

Our client is hiring for a Senior DevOps Engineer to support our cloud infrastructure and deployment processes within a life sciences environment. This role will focus on Terraform, Helm Charts, and Kubernetes, with an emphasis on automating workflows and infrastructure as code. The ideal candidate will have experience scripting in Golang and working in a hybrid cloud environment.

Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and maintain infrastructure as code using Terraform.
• Manage and optimize Kubernetes deployments using Helm Charts.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts and tooling in Golang.
• Support and improve CI/CD pipelines for application and infrastructure deployments.
• Monitor system performance, security, and availability, addressing any issues proactively.
• Work closely with development and operations teams to improve reliability and scalability.
• Ensure compliance with security best practices and industry standards.
• Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior team members.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, or a similar role.
• Expertise in Terraform for infrastructure automation.
• Strong experience with Kubernetes and Helm Charts for container orchestration.
• Proficiency in Golang for scripting and tool development.
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or ArgoCD.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
• Strong understanding of networking, security, and observability in cloud environments.
• Experience working in a regulated industry (e.g., life sciences, healthcare) is a plus.

Work Environment:

• Hybrid role based in Boston, MA, requiring on-site presence several days per week.
