- Design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications and APIs used by farmers, researchers, and agriculture businesses.
- Collaborate with product managers, UI/UX designers, and data scientists to deliver robust end-to-end solutions.
- Work across the full tech stack—from frontend UI to backend services and databases.
- Implement data visualization tools for geospatial data, sensor feeds, and crop performance.
- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code; participate in code reviews and mentor junior developers.
- Monitor application performance, troubleshoot issues, and continuously optimize systems.
- Stay up to date with the latest trends in ag-tech and software engineering.
Qualifications
Required:
- 5+ years of professional experience as a Full Stack Developer or similar role.
- Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, and experience with React or similar frontend frameworks.
- Strong backend experience with Node.js, Python, or Java, including REST API development.
- Experience with PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or other relational/noSQL databases.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Experience working with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile development practices.
- Exposure to GIS, remote sensing, or IoT technologies in agriculture.
- Knowledge of machine learning integration or big data pipelines.
- Passion for sustainable agriculture and climate resilience.
