Staff Software Engineer / Java / HR Software

This cloud-based software company that provides human resources (HR), payroll, benefits, and tax services for small and medium-sized businesses is looking to add to their team. Its platform simplifies complex HR tasks by offering tools for managing employee payroll, health insurance, retirement plans, hiring, and compliance. 

In this role, you will be responsible for contributing to the development and enhancement of the company's core application, which directly drives its revenue generation. This is a hybrid position that requires the individual to be onsite in Buckhead, GA, three days a week. The ideal candidate should be capable of independently managing and executing projects with minimal supervision, demonstrating strong problem-solving abilities and initiative. Collaboration with the team will be essential, but the ability to drive projects forward autonomously is crucial for success in this position.

Required Skills & Experience

• 8+ years working with Java
• Good understanding of Java frameworks (Spring, Spring boot)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work with a team
• Experience with AWS

Desired Skills & Experience

• Experience with HR software
• An understanding of user interfaces
• Strong mathematical and writing skills
• Familiarity with working with AWS
