We are currently working with a company in the BioTech AI space that is building out an LLM model that connects with lab equipment to more easily log notes, analyze results, and alter the experiments for later tests. The applications for their system range from mechanical prosthetics to genetic and protein sequencing to name a few.
They're looking for a strong, backend focused Python Engineer to join their team. The ideal candidate will bring significant experience in Python development, including working knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, and Distributed Systems ideally. They would also like someone to have either experience or an interest in Machine Learning and expanding your skillset using those tools.
This role will be 2x/week hybrid onsite at their Cambridge, MA, office and is a full time, direct hire role.

Required Skills & Experience:
- 8+ years of professional Python development experience with a proven track record in building scalable, high-performance applications.
- Proficiency with modern Python frameworks such as Flask, Django, or FastAPI.
- Expertise in designing, developing, and deploying microservices and RESTful APIs.
- Hands-on experience with containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes) and deployment workflows.
- Strong knowledge of cloud platforms, AWS is heavily preferred but flexible
- Proven ability to take ownership of complex systems, driving projects from design to production.
- Excellent communication skills, with a collaborative approach to cross-team interactions.
Preferred Skills & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Familiarity with machine learning, data science, or AI applications using Python.
- Experience working in BioTech or related field is a bonus
