Responsibilities:

Firmware Development:
- Lead the design, development, and maintenance of embedded firmware for IoT devices within the biotech data analytics ecosystem.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including hardware engineers, software developers, and data scientists, to ensure seamless integration of firmware with various components.

Architecture and Optimization:
- Architect and optimize firmware solutions to meet performance, power, and memory constraints.
- Implement efficient algorithms and data structures to enhance the functionality and responsiveness of embedded systems.

IoT Connectivity:
- Design and implement firmware for seamless connectivity of IoT devices, ensuring secure and reliable data transfer.
- Work on protocols like MQTT, CoAP, or other relevant communication protocols in the context of IoT devices.

Testing and Validation:
- Develop and execute comprehensive firmware test plans to ensure the reliability and functionality of embedded systems.
- Collaborate with quality assurance teams to identify and address firmware-related issues during testing phases.

Documentation:
- Create and maintain detailed documentation for firmware designs, implementation, and testing procedures.
- Contribute to technical documentation for end-users and internal teams.

Team Leadership:
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior firmware engineers.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with project timelines and objectives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience (3+ years) in firmware development for embedded systems, preferably in IoT or biotech domains.
- Proficient in programming languages such as C/C++ for embedded systems.
- Strong understanding of hardware-software integration and debugging.
- Experience with IoT communication protocols (e.g., MQTT, CoAP) and wireless technologies.
- Familiarity with real-time operating systems (RTOS) and microcontroller architectures.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Previous leadership or mentoring experience is a plus.
