Independent Risk Management Officer

Required Skills & Experience

• 7+ years of Risk experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work or consulting experience, training, military experience, education.
• Experience in Risk and Control Self-Assessment’s and Consumer Lending
• Strong written and verbal communication and coordination with business stakeholders and risk partners in control, compliance, legal and other areas of independent risk management.
• Comfortable with insights and analysis of risk identification and control effectiveness leveraging quantitative and qualitative data to inform action plans and outcomes.

What You Will Be Doing

• Consult as an expert to develop or influence initiatives and resources for highly complex business and technical needs across Independent Risk Management, such as Credit Risk, Independent Testing, or Operational Risk.
• Consult on the strategy and resolution of highly complex and unique challenges requiring in-depth evaluation across multiple areas, delivering solutions that are long-term, large-scale and require vision, creativity, innovation, and advanced analytical and inductive thinking.
• Provide expertise to client senior leadership on innovative Independent Risk Management business solutions.
• Strategically engage with client personnel.
• Provide operational risk oversight for the Auto Lending business including Auto Operations.
• Responsible for overseeing adherence to Operational Risk Program Policy for this organization.
• Problem solving and solutioning of risk and control breakdowns, their root cause and remediation is a key responsibility.
