Required Skills & Experience
- 4+ years of Infrastructure Engineering and Solutions experience.
- Hands-on experience in compute, storage, networking, and virtualization technologies.
- Strong expertise in Windows Server (2019/2022), Windows 10/11, and Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL 8/9).
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory, Group Policy, SCCM, Windows DNS, and Windows Update Services.
- Experience with VMware vSphere, NSX, and other virtualization/containerization platforms.
- Proficiency in automation and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, PowerShell, and BASH.
- Cloud administration experience with Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Ability to work onsite in Charlotte, NC, as required for hands-on infrastructure tasks.
- Capable of lifting 75+ lbs with assistance and working within server rooms or data center environments.
- Experience with Red Hat Satellite administration and API endpoint development.
- Certifications in Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud Platform.
- Familiarity with OpenShift and container orchestration.
- Knowledge of C# or other higher-level object-oriented programming languages.
What You Will Be Doing
- Leverage hands-on technical expertise to engineer, operate, and support a broad range of systems and platforms, ensuring uptime, stability, security, and compliance.
- Play a critical role in designing and implementing solutions that enhance our infrastructure, incorporating automation, cloud technologies, and security best practices.
- Engineer, operate, and support on-premises, hybrid, and cloud-based infrastructure solutions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure issues across compute, storage, networking, and virtualization domains.
- Author and utilize scripting and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) (Terraform, PowerShell, BASH) to automate system configurations and deployments.
- Implement and maintain Microsoft Windows Server (2019, 2022), Windows 10/11, and Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL 8/9) environments.
- Deploy, configure, and maintain Microsoft Active Directory, Group Policy, System Center, Windows DNS, and Windows Update Services.
- Manage VMware virtualization environments, including vSphere Suite and NSX.
- Provide cloud administration and engineering support within Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud Platform (GCP), ensuring secure and efficient cloud connectivity.
- Collaborate with project managers and development teams to deliver high-impact solutions.
- Implement security best practices and zero trust principles to safeguard systems.
- Perform physical infrastructure work as needed, including racking, stacking, and cabling hardware within data center environments.
