Required Skills & Experience
- Strong communication and coordination skills
- Technical background (not engineering level, but must understand:
- Cybersecurity concepts (e.g., vulnerabilities, attack vectors)
- Windows/Linux environments
- Ticketing systems and vendor support
- Basic scripting or SQL/Python knowledge is a plus but not required
- Comfort with digging into new systems (Tanium)
- Basic scripting or SQL/Python knowledge
What You Will Be Doing
- Communication Lead
- Act as the main communicator for:
- System changes
- Updates for system owners, server admins, etc.
- Help create an internal web presence (intranet-type resource):
- Troubleshooting info
- Announcements (e.g., outages)
- Instructions, best practices, etc.
- This person should be comfortable with writing content, not just forwarding messages.
- Act as the main communicator for:
- Vendor Ticket Management
- Handle support tickets with Tanium:
- Coordinate between three teams (Jake’s, Speaker A’s, India team)
- Track vendor responses and internal follow-ups
- Ensure accountability and prevent delays
- Handle support tickets with Tanium:
- Process Documentation & Improvement
- Evaluate and document current workflows
- Identify inefficiencies and recommend improvements
- Requires basic technical comprehension to assess and optimize processes
- Compliance Enforcement
- Ensure Tanium is installed on all servers/workstations (unless exempt)
- Reach out to non-compliant teams
- Be firm yet collaborative
- Escalate as needed
- Requires confidence, persistence, and tact
