Job Description
We are seeking an AWS Cloud Engineer to join a dynamic fintech startup within a major financial institution. This innovative venture leverages cutting-edge data intelligence and other advancements to address financial challenges in targeted industries. As an AWS Cloud Engineer, you will be instrumental in developing and managing cloud solutions for our software products. You will collaborate with engineers, product managers, and stakeholders to ensure our cloud infrastructure and services are reliable, scalable, and secure. This role is based on-site at our office in Charlotte, North Carolina.
MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Design, implement, and manage cloud infrastructure and services using AWS tools and best practices.
  • Monitor and enhance the performance and availability of cloud resources.
  • Adhere to security standards and policies within cloud environments.
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts and pipelines for cloud deployment and configuration.
  • Stay updated with new cloud technologies and trends to improve our cloud capabilities.
  • Implement security best practices and standards, including encryption, identity and access management, logging, and monitoring.
  • Utilize DevSecOps tools and techniques (e.g., DAST, SAST, SonarQube, Fortify) to ensure the quality and security of cloud applications and infrastructure.
  • Manage and monitor data pipelines and storage solutions on cloud platforms such as AWS Glue, Athena, and Redshift.
  • Quickly identify and resolve issues in both lower and production environments.
  • Implement and maintain monitoring solutions to ensure the stability of lower and production environments.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
  • Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • At least five years of experience in cloud security, DevSecOps, and data engineering.
  • Deep expertise in AWS services, including EC2, S3, Lambda, CloudFormation, VPC, and more.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
  • Experience with DevOps tools and methodologies, including CI/CD, Git, and Jenkins.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
