Email Security Engineer

Looking for a highly skilled and motivated Email Security Engineer with expertise in Proofpoint to join our team. As an Email Security Engineer, you will be responsible for implementing, managing, and maintaining email security solutions, with a focus on Proofpoint technologies. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the protection and integrity of our organization's email communication.
Responsibilities:

1. Design, implement, and maintain email security solutions using Proofpoint technologies.
2. Monitor and analyze email security logs, alerts, and reports to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities.
3. Develop and maintain policies, procedures, and configurations for email security systems.
4. Collaborate with IT teams to integrate email security solutions into the existing infrastructure.
5. Conduct regular security assessments and audits to ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices.
6. Investigate and respond to security incidents related to email threats, including phishing attempts, malware, and spam.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CEH) are a plus.
2. Proven experience in designing, implementing, and managing email security solutions, specifically with Proofpoint technologies.
3. Strong understanding of email protocols, standards (SMTP, DMARC, SPF), and encryption technologies (TLS, S/MIME).
4. In-depth knowledge of email security best practices, threat landscape, and emerging trends.
5. Experience with email security tools and technologies, such as Proofpoint Enterprise Protection, Threat Response, and Targeted Attack Protection.
6. Familiarity with email gateway technologies, email authentication methods, and anti-spam/anti-malware solutions.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Experience with other email security solutions, such as Microsoft Exchange Online Protection (EOP) or Cisco Email Security.
2. Knowledge of network security principles, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and VPN technologies.
3. Familiarity with email archiving and e-discovery solutions.
4. Experience with scripting languages (Python, PowerShell) for automation and customization of email security workflows.
5. Understanding of cloud-based email platforms, such as Office 365 or G Suite.
