We're working with one company who has been a trusted leader in public safety solutions for over 50 years, providing cutting-edge audio-video recording technology for law enforcement and advocacy agencies, and continues to grow by leveraging innovative tools and strong industry partnerships to support mission-critical operations.

The Field Service Technician will be responsible for supporting and troubleshooting critical recording software, integrating it with client systems, and resolving technical issues. This role requires strong networking skills (understanding TCP/UDP protocols, NATting, subnetting) and the ability to analyze network traffic and troubleshoot issues through command line tools. The technician will handle proprietary software, resolve customer issues both on-site and remotely, and collaborate with the engineering and solutions teams. This role involves some travel, occasional on-call responsibilities, and requires proficiency in problem-solving and customer-facing skills
Contract Duration: 6 – 12 Months

Required Skills & Experience
  • Proficient in TCP/UDP protocols, NATting, and subnetting.
  • Ability to analyze network traffic and troubleshoot using command-line tools.
  • Experience with diagnosing and resolving software and network issues
  • Understanding of command-line operations for network diagnostics and troubleshooting.
  • Experience configuring and managing network devices (routers, switches, etc.) and analyzing wire traffic.
Desired Skills & Experience
  • Ability to work closely with the solutions engineering team and other departments to resolve technical challenges.
  • Ability to work with proprietary recording software and integrate it with client systems.
  • Available for on-call coverage twice per year for two-week cycles
  • Familiarity with critical recording software or similar systems.
