The Risk Management Insurance Coordinator will, under the supervision and guidance of the Director (or Interim Director), assist in the management of the University's insurance and self-insurance programs, as well as provide general risk management support to various internal stakeholders across the University and in our Department. • Minimum requirements include a college or university degree in related field.
• Minimum requirements include knowledge and skills developed through 2-5 years of work experience in a related job discipline. Responsibilities: Responsibilities:
• Assist with the management of the University's commercial and self-insurance programs (60%)
• Gather exposure data and assist with insurance applications.
• Review renewal proposals.
• Review insurance policies for accuracy.
• Request and track correction endorsements.
• Maintain updated schedule of insurance.
• Work with insurance brokers to coordinate certificates of insurance.
• Assist with internal communication and enrollment of units in University self-insurance programs.
• Maintain schedule of affiliates.
• Review University contracts to ensure proper insurance provisions (20%)
• Collaborate with departments and units to consult on contractual insurance requirements.
• Provide template insurance terms to procurement centers.
• Review insurance and indemnification terms as necessary.
• Develop processes to ensure departments and units are properly evaluating and maintaining insurance certificates.
• Assist Executive Director with insurance budget management and premium payments (5%)
• Track insurance invoices and submit for approval to Director.
• Provide general risk management advice and other projects (15%)
• Consult with units and departments on mitigating and managing their own risk.
• Other duties and tasks as assigned.
• Assist in entering information for background checks for the Youth Protection Program
• Assist in invoicing payables
