The global leader in product content orchestration is hiring a Director of Engineering to oversee their user-generated content for a global SaaS platform. This is a hybrid role in Chicago with an office in the Loop. This Director of Engineering will oversee roughly 20 Software Engineers across 5 teams. The technology stack includes Java, Kotlin, Python, Ruby, and AWS technologies.
In this role, you’ll help shape the engineering strategy, work closely with product, UX, DevOps, and customers, and lead a collaborative, fast-moving team. It’s a great opportunity for someone who enjoys building and scaling systems, values cross-functional partnership, and wants to have a meaningful voice in both tech and product decisions.

Required Skills & Experience
- BS or MS in Computer Science or another related field
- 7+ years of experience with hands-on engineering experience with Java, Kotlin, Python, or Ruby
- 3+ years of experience with technologies like Spring Boot, AWS, Terraform, CircleCI
- 3+ years of experience leading multiple engineering teams in a SaaS environment
- Experience scaling engineering organizations with an agile methodology
- Experience working with distributed teams across different time zones
- Knowledge of security best practices for SaaS aplications
