What You’ll Do:
Design & Development (60%)
- Take ownership of exhibition design projects from initial concept to final execution, ensuring creativity, originality, and attention to detail.
- Develop compelling floor plans, mood boards, and detailed design concepts that reflect client objectives and brand identity.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (design, sales, project management) to develop creative solutions that align with the client's vision and exceed expectations.
- Oversee and support the development of graphic designs and technical renderings, while guiding independent industrial designers through the design and fabrication process.
- Manage materials selection, production specifications, and assist with budgeting to ensure the integrity of designs is maintained throughout production.
Collaboration & Project Management (40%)
- Work closely with design, sales, and project management teams to ensure all projects move smoothly through the creative pipeline.
- Coordinate with project managers to set clear objectives and timelines, ensuring timely delivery of all design assets.
- Provide constructive feedback to junior designers, promoting professional growth and maintaining a high standard of creative excellence.
- Ensure the team delivers on project goals, tracking progress and resolving any challenges that arise during the design and production phases.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 3+ years of professional experience in exhibition or experiential design, with a strong portfolio showcasing your work.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate ideas and collaborate effectively with cross-disciplinary teams.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously, while maintaining a keen eye for detail and meeting deadlines.
- Proactive, positive attitude with a strong sense of ownership, initiative, and accountability.
- Valid Driver’s License for occasional travel to client sites or vendor locations.
Desired Skills & Experience:
- Deep understanding of the trade show exhibit design process, including experience with guiding the design and fabrication teams through rendering development, material selection, and production.
- Strong knowledge of design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, CAD software), with an ability to produce clear, detailed design documents and presentations.
- Experience in client-facing environments, with a proven track record of turning client feedback into actionable design solutions.
- A collaborative mindset with the ability to contribute creatively and efficiently within a team while managing individual tasks.
