Our client is an energy holding company that operations as a regulated natural gas and electric utility company and one of the largest fully regulated utility companies in the United States.
We are seeking a Full Stack Azure Data Engineer for a contract-to-hire role based in Columbus, OH 43215. You will have the opportunity to work a Hybrid schedule of 2 days onsite (Tuesdays and Wednesdays).

Description:
- Data Engineer should have proficiency in data engineering for Azure Data Engineers. Mastery in designing robust, scalable, and secure data solutions on Azure Cloud concepts is essential.
- This includes understanding Azure's data services ecosystem, such as Azure Data Lake, Azure Synapse Analytics, and Azure Data bricks.
- Data Engineers must architect solutions that can handle the volume, velocity, and variety of data, ensuring performance and compliance.
- Data Engineer must have a strong grasp of cloud security principles and practices.
- Understanding Azure's security features, such as Azure Active Directory, network security groups, and encryption services, is essential.
- Python expertise is preferred. Data Engineers must ensure that data solutions comply with industry regulations and company policies.
- The ability to build and maintain a data architecture that supports both real-time and batch processing will be a defining factor in the success of data-driven organizations.
Qualifications:
- Looking for a full stack data engineer with 7+ years of experience in the field.
- Proficiency in Azure data technology stack.
- Experience designing, building, and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines to move and transform data between systems.
- Experience in building Data lakes (primarily Azure DL)
- Experience with data warehousing solution• Expertise in building logical and physical data models.
- Experience with cloud services such as Google Cloud Platform (BigQuery, Dataflow), or Azure Data Services
- Experience with both SQL and NoSQL databases, like PostgreSQL, MySQL etc.
- Ability to work with RESTful APIs and occasionally SOAP APIs for data integration.
- Proficiency in visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, or experience with data visualization.
