Our client is a worldwide comprehensive logistics company in the Dallas-Fort Worth area that has serves high technology manufacturers with freight, logistics and warehouse and inventory services.
We are seeking a Junior to Mid-level Business Analyst with good technical acumen and a background in logistics, transportation and warehousing.
You will have the opportunity to work a hybrid schedule of 3 days onsite (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday) / 2 days remote. The position is based in Coppell, TX 75019.
Contract Duration: 6 months (strong potential for this resource to be converted to a permanent employee)
Required Skills & Experience
- Experience in the Logistics / Transportation industry
- A bachelor’s degree in MIS or related field or Minimum of 5 years working experience with progressive responsibility.
- Ability to listen and interact in a positive, respectful manner and establish cooperative working relationships.
- Able to accurately interpret and document business needs.
- Enjoy working as a team member as well as independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Professional written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to effectively organize personal work, multi-task and manage time.
- Familiar with Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- 2 years of experience in business analysis or a related field.
- Experience meeting the needs and expectations of both internal and external customers.
- Demonstrated productivity in a busy ever-changing environment.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze information, identify and document problems/issues
- Able to handle high-pressure situations
- Gather and document business requirements
- Schedule and lead meetings; create agendas, capture meeting minutes and document tasks/To-Do's
- Attend meetings and presentations to share ideas, discuss findings and review solutions to ensure alignment with business needs
- Work closely with system users, technicians, and managerial staff. Serving as a liaison between stakeholders and users.
- Document Use Cases and/or Perform user acceptance testing
- Provide input to project plans and identify required tasks. Provide updates to assigned tasks/project plans
