Java Software Developer Remote in Dallas, TX (Java Junior or Senior)

This company is a mission-driven organization supporting critical blood supply tracking and logistics, jointly owned by the American Red Cross and OneBlood. The platform is built to ensure safe and efficient tracking of blood inventory and locations across the country. As part of a growing engineering team, you'll help build and enhance applications that directly support lifesaving operations at national scale.

We're currently hiring 8–9 developers to join a collaborative, senior-leaning group focused on quality, growth, and meaningful impact.

This role offers remote flexibility, with a strong preference for candidates based near Dallas, TX

Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of professional software development experience

• Proficiency with Java and Spring Boot

• Strong frontend experience with Angular (preferably v16+)

• Cloud experience with AWS, including services like Lambda, EC2, and S3

• Solid database knowledge with SQL, Postgres, and DynamoDB

• Familiarity with Kubernetes and Kafka

• U.S. Citizen or Green Card holder (no sponsorship available)

• Comfortable working in a camera-on remote team culture

• Passionate about technology, growth-minded, and team-oriented

Desired Skills & Experience

• Automation and cross-functional project experience

• Experience with AI tools like Copilot and ChatGPT as part of your development workflow

• Paired programming experience

• Someone who values long-term commitment, not job-hopping

What You Will Be Doing

Tech Breakdown:

• 60% Backend (Java, Spring Boot, AWS, Postgres, DynamoDB)

• 40% Frontend (Angular 16, paired programming, automation)

Daily Responsibilities:

• Building and maintaining scalable, cloud-based applications

• Collaborating with a senior-heavy engineering team

• Contributing to automation and testing strategies

• Participating in sprint ceremonies and ongoing team discussions

• Helping scale a national platform used in real-time for healthcare logistics
