Our client, a nationally recognized and award-winning company in the health insurance vertical, has a contract opening for a Senior Category Manager. They have over 4 million customers and 5,000+ employees dedicated to?providing innovative solutions that simplify the healthcare system, improve efficiency and outcomes while reducing costs.

Required Skills & Experience
- Bachelor's degree or advanced degree (where required). In lieu of degree, 7+ years of experience in related field
- 5+ years of experience in related field
- Healthcare Payor Experience a must.
What You Will Be Doing
- Requires familiarity with healthcare services pricing models and healthcare operations.
- Conducts sourcing events for the category, including gathering business requirements, building the project work plan, administering the distribution and collection of bid documents, leading internal discussions and external vendor communications.
- Responsible for leading the commercial terms negotiations with Vendors and preparing assorted contract documents including SOWs and Change Orders.
- Evaluates contract terms and conditions across multiple contract types including MSA, SaaS, SOWs for acceptance.
- Responsible for Vendor onboarding through coordination with multiple subject-matter experts including security, IT, finance and legal.
- Works well among a team of cross-functional leads.
- Proactively establishes and foster successful, positive working relationships with internal stakeholders and vendor personnel.
- Maintains accurate and up-to-date reports of in-process work.
- Develop new procedures, training, initiatives, specifications and recommendations for process or policy changes and improvements, as appropriate.
- Detail oriented and milestone driven.
