Fort Worth, TX company is seeking a Kubernetes Engineer to join their team for a contract opportunity.

Leverage the latest technology to solve business problems in a collaborative environment at this Fortune 500 transportation giant. Top technical resources are retained on long-term contract engagements.
Responsible for leveraging cutting edge technology to solve business problems by participating in all phases of the development process from inception through transition, advocating the agile process and test-driven development, using object-oriented development tools to analyze, model, design, construct and test reusable objects, and making the codebase better.

Contract Duration: 2 Months

Required Skills & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Technology, Information Systems (CIS/MIS), Engineering or related technical discipline, or equivalent experience/training.
  • 5 years of working experience as a technology professional.
  • 2 years of platform operations experience, specifically supporting Kubernetes, microservices, and containerization.
  • 2 years of experience implementing infrastructure as code.
  • Experience keeping production environments operating at peak performance on the cloud and in containers.
  • Experience managing production Kubernetes infrastructure.
  • Hands-on experience with infrastructure as code and configuration as code.
  • Deep understanding of DevOps best practices and CI/CD, particularly utilizing Github Actions and ArgoCD.
  • Experience with Service Mesh technologies such as Istio and Kuma.
  • Experience with using Rancher as a control plane.
  • Experience with Observability technologies and optimizing monitoring using technologies such as Datadog, Prometheus, Dynatrace, Grafana, and Mezmo.
  • Deep knowledge of Linux OS, network, and Azure PaaS solutions.
Desired Skills & Experience
  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Technology, Information Systems (CIS/MIS), Engineering or related technical discipline, or equivalent experience/training.
  • Azure or Kubernetes Technical Certifications.
  • 2+ years working with Microsoft Azure Kubernetes Service(AKS)
  • Keep understanding of containerization and distributed systems.
