Our client, a large electronics defense company, is looking for a Senior System Engineer to join their infrastructure team. In the role, you will be doing a mix of virtual machine build outs, Entra design and builds, server hardening, security administration, and network monitoring in their datacenter.

The ideal candidate has experience working in a large scale datacenter on a system engineering team, but has strong working knowledge of basic networking like racking and stacking and monitoring. They need someone with some security expertise as well as you’ll be responsible for their STIG and server hardening efforts. The ideal candidate is technically strong with Windows, VMware, Entra, Solarwinds, and Cisco products.

This is a 6 month contract-to-hire position, fully onsite in Fort Worth, Texas. Compensation is $60-70/hr on contract, converting over in the $130K ballpark.
Required Skills & Experience
  • Experience designing and building out VMware and Entra from the ground up.
  • Experience doing basic networking tasks (racking & stacking, monitoring, configurations).
  • Willingness and ability to obtain a DoD Security Clearance.
  • Strong knowledge of STIG and server hardening.
  • Datacenter experience.
Desired Skills & Experience
  • 8+ years of experience working as a System Engineer, 3+ in a datacenter environment.
  • Experience working with Cisco and Palo Alto experience a huge plus.
  • Related degrees or certifications are nice to have.
The Offer
  • $60-70/hr, converting over to $130K.
