We're working with a leader in the distribution space that focusing on residential & restaurant equipment, in addition to HVAC. They are local to the Chicago suburbs and are regularly recognized for their culture and growth.
The Director of Engineering will oversee all aspects of Cloud Engineering and Site Reliability Engineering. This role involves strategic planning, managing budgets, cloud architecture, managing budgets, and fostering collaboration across teams. A focus on continuous improvement is essential, with responsibilities including evaluating emerging technologies, industry trends, and internal processes to enhance operational efficiency and ensure future success. This leader will also assess team needs and drive excellence in every area of the organization.
This will be a hands-on position, so they are looking for people who are currently in a hands-on leadership position.

Required Skills & Experience
- 5+ years of recent, professional management experience. Those who are not currently managing may not be considered.
- Experience implementing or migrating Azure within an organization.
- Proficient in designing and maintaining scalable and complex systems.
- Ability to work hands-on alongside DevOps and Cloud Engineers
- Cloud security best practices
- Disaster recovery familiarity
- Cloud monitoring and logging tools
- Degree in Computer Science or related field
