We are a leading provider of Telecommunication services and technologies. Our client is rapidly expanding their rural broadband / FTTx construction throughout the Northwestern US and has urgent needs for Quality Control Inspectors/Technicians through out the region. These projects are focused on specific regional markets, usually about a 50-200 mile radius. The project also allows for the potential for consultants to travel to other geographies, with expenses and mileage assisted. This is a long-term project with a lot of sites and work still needing to be done.
Road warriors interested in seeing different areas of the country and local candidates alike are both needed!
Location: Multiple sites in OR, WA, MT, ID and surrounding states
Contract Required Skills & Experience
- Being in market to verify adherence to design specifications, meet with local permitting authorities
- Follow given architecture design and make changes as needed.
- Execute tasks such as redlining, bore design, CAD drafting, make-ready analysis, field notes, pole surveys, conduit locating, quality control of prints.
- Interpret highway and road plans to identify potential conflicts with existing outside plant (OSP) facilities and determine necessary routing adjustments
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with engineering designs, industry standards, and safety regulations.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all construction activities, including daily reports, inspection reports, and as-built drawings.
- Required Qualifications:
- Ability to travel a 200-mile radius and occasionally overnight as required.
- Minimum of 3+ years in OSP construction.
- Experience in redline review and site project coordination.
- Knowledge of construction techniques, such as cable placement and/or splicing methods.
- Experience working with OSP design documentation for copper and fiber optic facilities, including aerial, underground, and direct-buried installations
- Familiarity with easement, right-of-way, and permitting processes.
- Knowledge and understanding of NESC codes
