PCB Design / Engineering Manager

A green energy company located in Northern Virginia is seeking an Engineering Manager – PCB Design to run their growing team. In this role you will be responsible for the design of hardware used to create a battery management system for an energy storage application. This person must be able to design, develop, and install every aspect of the application along with the team.

We are looking for someone with 10 or more years of experience in PCB design, development, and testing. This role currently will have 5 direct reports with the task of building the team to 10 by the end of 2025. If you are looking for a position to come in and grow with a team and organization this could be the role for you. This is a full time position and is onsite in Herndon, VA 5 days/week with some travel involved.

Required Skills & Experience

• 10+ years PCB hardware development experience
• 5+ years experience in managing teams
• Experience with Altium Designer
• Ability to lead the design electrical circuits for LV, MV, and DC applications ensuring compliance to common design standard.
• Comfortable traveling 25% of the time
• Bachelors in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent degree)

Desired Skills & Experience

• Excellent communication skills
• Experience working with high voltage systems (1500VDC) and high voltage circuit design is a plus.
• Experience working and managing project for different clients at the same time
• Ability to work independently
