We are helping an innovative security company hire a Network and Systems Admin for their Greater Chicago office. This position will be hybrid with some days onsite and some remote. This company provides CISO advice as well as security protocols to help ensure systems are protected and strengthened. They primarily focus on vulnerability and risk mitigation.

In this role, you will focus on securing and managing third party networks and firewall infrastructure using Palo Alto, Cisco, and Fortinet solutions. In addition, you will provide system admin help to clients. Having security skills and being passionate about data and critical systems are important.


Required Skills & Experience
  • More than 3 years of experience managing Fortinet, Palo Alto, and/or Cisco enterprise firewalls.
  • Practical experience with routers, switches, VPNs, VLANs, and network segmentation.
  • Knowledge of networking protocols such as TCP/IP, DHCP, NAT, HTTP, etc.
  • Industry certifications like Fortinet NSE 1-4, CCNA, and CCNP.
  • Previous experience in managing Fortinet Networks or maintaining networks across multiple enterprise locations.
  • Over 3 years of hands-on experience with technologies including but not limited to VMware, Networking, Linux administration, and Windows administration.
  • Familiarity with system administration for both Windows and Linux servers.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills for networks, servers, and other systems.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced 24/7 operations environment.
  • Capability to perform multiple tasks in a prioritized manner.
  • Experience with trouble ticketing systems.
  • Understanding of SNMP and log-based monitoring.
Desired Skills & Experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or Telecommunications.
  • Over 3 years of experience in data center and customer support.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • High level of professionalism and strong customer service skills.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Customer-oriented with a strong focus on client satisfaction.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
