Senior Network Engineer

As a Senior Network Engineer, you will play a key role in managing the network infrastructure, ensuring low-latency, high-performance, and high-availability systems. You will analyze, configure, implement, and maintain the network while troubleshooting issues, developing solutions, and providing ongoing support. Collaborating with IT colleagues, you will help design and deploy new network and data center infrastructure, ensuring optimal security, performance, and reliability.

This company is based in Hiram, Ohio and requires 4 days on-site per week. 

What you will be doing:
  • Manage and maintain network infrastructure to ensure low-latency, high-performance, and high-availability systems.
  • Analyze, configure, implement, and optimize network components to meet operational requirements.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve network-related issues, developing effective solutions.
  • Provide ongoing support and monitor network performance to ensure consistent operation.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to design and deploy new network and data center infrastructure.
  • Ensure network security, performance, and reliability across all systems.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend improvements to enhance network capabilities.
Requirements:
  • Cisco networking technologies (LAN / WAN / WLAN)
  • Routing protocols: BGP (iBGP and eBGP), OSPF, and EIGRP
  • Radio Frequency (RF) knowledge: wave propagation, RSSI, co-channel and adjacent channel interference, RF surveys, and tools such as Ekahau
  • Wireless technologies: Wireless LAN Controllers, Access Points, 802.1x, EAP, TLS, PKI
  • VXLAN design, implementation, and support, including BGP EVPN and Data Center Layer 2 adjacency
  • Network storage technologies and file system management
