Platform Engineer: Python & LLMs

We are partnered with a national energy company to help build out their platform engineering team. In this position you will be creating the platform on which other internal engineering teams develop & deploy their applications.
This will require a deep hands-on knowledge of object-oriented programming & design, mainly with Python. You will be building core features & functionality that other software engineers depend upon, so we need someone with a high degree of ownership over their own code, and an eye towards maintainability & clean code/coding best practices. You will also be engaging with other engineering teams to understand their needs, so solid communication skills and a mind for product development & stakeholder needs is a plus.
This position is hybrid 2-3x/week in Houston, Texas Required Skills & Experience

• 3-6 Years of Software Engineering Experience
  • Python
  • Object-Oriented Design (OOD)
• SQL
• LLMs/GenAIs (LangChain, OpenAi, Gemini)

Desired Skills & Experience

• Other Object-oriented Languages (Java, C#, C++, etc)
• Cloud Technologies (GCP or Azure)
• Prompt Engineering
