Established Client is seeking a skilled and motivated Systems Administrator for a long-term contract opportunity in Lawrenceville, GA.

This position requires a minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in design, analysis, and testing of third-party applications in production and development environments. Analyzes and determines the requirements for the implementation and support of complex computer systems. Coordinates work within the various IT divisions on specific projects and evaluates results with users to produce successful installations of computer systems/software. Develops application systems and programs according to specifications. Interacts with users to define problems and determine needs, coming to consensus on functional specifications, which produce the desired result.

Contract Duration: 12 Months

Required Skills & Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems/Data Science/Analytics or related field
  • Five (5) years of progressively responsible, systems administration experience in a large-scale Information Technology environment; or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job.
  • Must be able to independently work with customers, gather requirements and provide analytical reports to a variety of management levels and organizational departments.
  • Coordinate with vendors and internal IT teams regarding maintenance/performance issues; prioritize bug fixes; oversee application and server updates; test bug fixes.
  • Attention to detail is essential, highly organized, and motivated to provide excellent customer support.
  • Must be able to produce technical and user-level documentation.
Desired Skills & Experience
  • Two years of experience developing and implementing, supporting software applications and providing user-end support
  • Keen understanding of software lifecycle
  • Experience in a large environment where management of life-critical systems exists
  • Preferred experience providing direction and training to users at various levels of expertise to increase their knowledge and abilities to utilize systems supported.
  • Experience with project life cycle and project management principles.

What You Will Be Doing
Daily Responsibilities
  • Plans, analyzes, develops, programs, modifies, tests, debugs, and implements complex computer systems; defines and develops requirements for creative, logical, and effective solutions; confers with management to determine feasibility of recommendations.
  • Troubleshoots and resolves problems and/or process identification and definition. Analyzes system problems and takes corrective action.
  • Provides technical direction in complex information modeling concepts, data access, information system interfaces, and reporting tools.
  • Manages complex projects to include performing related research, performing analysis, preparing bids, selecting vendors, managing outside consultants and determining requirements.
  • Develops and documents data standards; prepares documentation for new systems and system modifications in accordance with established County standards and procedures.
  • Prepare and analyze a variety of system reports and make recommendations on system upgrades.
  • Evaluates hardware and/or software for improvements and possible modifications; plans and develops third party systems deployment; trains users.
