We’re hiring a Business Data Analyst with a versatile background spanning data engineering, business systems, and analytics. In this role, you’ll act as a vital connector between technical teams and business stakeholders, enabling digital transformation through clean, well-documented data pipelines, actionable insights, and system/process documentation.

Contract duration: 6 months

Required Skills & Experience
  • 4+ years of professional experience in data analysis, development, or database management
  • Strong SQL expertise with hands-on experience using relational databases such as SQL Server or Oracle
  • Familiarity with data modeling, ETL development, and warehouse architecture
  • Demonstrated ability to convert business needs into effective technical solutions
  • Excellent analytical and troubleshooting abilities
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, especially in executive-facing contexts
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Self-starter who thrives in a cross-functional, fast-paced setting

Desired Skills & Experience
  • Experience working in transaction-heavy environments like transportation, tolling, or fintech
  • Knowledge of cloud-based databases (e.g. AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Basic scripting skills in Python, R, or similar languages
  • Understanding of SDLC methodologies, including Agile workflows
  • Experience collaborating with external partners or third-party vendors

What You Will Be Doing
Tech Breakdown
  • 50% Data Analysis, Reporting & Dashboard Development
  • 25% Gathering Business Requirements & Process Documentation
  • 15% Supporting Testing, UAT, and Training Creation
  • 10% Strategic Communication & Stakeholder Engagement
Daily Responsibilities
  • Conduct deep-dive analysis of large data sets to guide business decisions
  • Create data validation processes and reinforce data governance
  • Facilitate user testing, training sessions, and system documentation
  • Proactively identify areas for process optimization and digital upgrades
  • Translate complex business problems into technical data solutions
  • Act as a liaison among IT, business teams, and external collaborators
