Senior Data Engineer / Beverly Hills

Our client, an innovative Investment Management Platform managing over $2 billion in assets, is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join their team. In this role, you will develop and maintain tools that support trading and portfolio analysis processes. You will build ETL pipelines, centralize MongoDB and PostgreSQL databases, and scale data structures for investment strategy analysis and simulations. Primary Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain ETL pipelines for investment strategy analysis and simulations
• Centralize and manage MongoDB and PostgreSQL databases
• Build and optimize tools to support trading and portfolio analysis processes
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design scalable data structures
• Perform data analysis, data ingestion, and data integration to drive insights
• Write unit tests to ensure the reliability and functionality of systems
• Stay current with advancements in data engineering technologies

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field
• 7+ years of professional experience in a Data Engineering role
• Expertise in Python3, Numpy, Pandas, Flask
• Experience with MongoDB, PostgreSQL, and modern data stacks
• Strong background in building ETL pipelines and data integration
• Familiarity with Linux-based operating systems (Debian/Ubuntu)
• Experience with data analysis, data ingestion, and data storage
• Solid understanding of software engineering principles and unit testing

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field (or equivalent experience)
